We continue making an impact in the lives of those equipping new ministry leaders through the Resource & Advisory Center. One of our successful outreaches has been the International Bible School Professor Training Program. Our goal is to provide practical tools, continuous renewal and professional certification for the teachers and staff of the Assemblies of God Bible Schools in the region. As of today, over 7,700 are enrolled in the program.
About 160 participants attended the Bible School Professor Training Seminar in Santo Domingo in November. It was a privilege to serve the Assemblies of God in the Dominican Republic by equipping those training others in their ministry formation programs.
We are blessed to be a part of the Resource & Advisory Center since 2011 and have directed the ministry since 2018. We serve the more than 1,100 Bible schools and extensions throughout Latin America and the Caribbean, and we continue to extend our reach to serve Spanish speakers throughout the world.

Missions Training and Mobilization
We continue to believe and trust the Lord for the new international cross cultural and language school. It would be hosted at the Latin America Resource and Training Center located in Panama. The country's diverse demographics make it possible to teach English as a second language, and even teach essential Mandarin and Arabic, too. It's unique location in the region allows for Latin Americans to come to a central location and receive the needed missiological and linguistic learning prior to leaving for overseas missions service.
In February, we participated in an intensive, two-week training course in North Africa that gave us essential tools to teach Latin Americans a second language for cross cultural missions service. This linguacultural learning approach will allow for potential overseas workers to not only understand speech they will hear in their country of ministry, but also understand the world that is spoken about - the people, the traditions and the customs.
We are praying to the Lord of the harvest to raise up more Latin American missionaries that are ready to go and reach the unreached and under-reached peoples of the world with the Story of Jesus.

A Sudden Pause
Things changed rapidly as we left North Africa. We began to receive frequent updates about the extent of the virus spreading across the globe. With the Lord's help, we returned safely to Panama during the second week of March. The same afternoon we arrived, our daughters Natalie and Niki let us know about the situation they were facing at the university in the United States. Immediately, we made the decision to bring them home to Panama.
Suddenly, everything began to change as the news continued coming in about the global pandemic. Health screenings and quarantine measures were being implemented. Public places like shopping malls and parks were ordered to close. Then, a national curfew was put in place. Next, international travel in and out of Panama was suspended. We have been under a nationwide movement restriction for about a week now, staying home and allowed (only one of us) to go to the grocery or the pharmacy for a one-hour time slot each day.
We are all in a unique situation. We have had to make tough decision to postpone key ministry events we had been planning for months. We now focus on helping and facilitating ministry during these uncharted circumstances through text messaging, video conferencing and live streaming. In the midst of these uncertain times, Jesus’ words bring hope and promise: “Don’t be afraid. Just have faith” (Mark 5:36). We are believing that God is still in control and He will continue to guide His church in fulfilling the unfinished task.
Thank you or partnering with us in reaching, training and mobilizing ministry leaders in Panama and throughout Latin America. Together we continue to make a difference in the lives of so many people!
